Payment

  • In order to hold your dates, a 50% deposit of the total estimated trip cost is required. That reservation deposit applies toward the total rental fee.

  • The remaining rental balance is due upon pick up.

    • Payment accepted by credit, debit, or cash.

  • All motorhomes and trailers require a $1,500 refundable security deposit to be held on the customer’s credit card with an authorization hold, cash, or cashier’s check. No personal checks accepted.

  • Security deposits will be refunded within seven business days.

    • Any damage will be deducted from damage deposit.

    • Mileage overage charges will be deducted from damage deposit.

    • Cleaning fees or tank fees will be deducted from damage deposit.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations more than 14 days prior to departure will be refunded in full.

  • Cancellations within 14 days of departure will forfeit the 50% reservation deposit, but may be applied toward a future trip, with no expiration.

  • Camp South RV will not refund for unused days within your reservation period.

Requirements & Insurance

  • Copy of driver's license and proof of insurance (must be 25 years old).

    • All renters are covered under Camp South RV’s insurance policy (collision and state minimum liability).

      • This is a savings of $35 to $75 per day compared to other rental companies that require you to purchase a daily insurance policy.

      • Please note, third-party liability coverage (damage to an individual’s automobile or property) varies state by state. The limits within the state of Tennessee are as follows:

        • Bodily Injury (per accident) $50,000

        • Bodily Injury (per person) $25,000

        • Property Damage $15,000

        • Medical Payments (per person) $2,000

    • Optional supplemental liability insurance that increases your coverage can also be purchased through our carrier, MBA Insurance, for $19.95 per day. More information on that additional insurance policy is available at: MBA Insurance. The increased supplemental liability limits are as follows:

      • Bodily Injury (per accident) $300,000

      • Bodily Injury (per person) $75,000

      • Property Damage $50,000

      • Property Damage (motorcycles) $10,000

    • Your personal auto insurance policy may also cover the motorhome or trailer rental. Please check with your agent for verification of RV rental coverage. Camp South RV would be added to your policy during the trip as ‘Additional Insured.’

Cleaning Fee

  • There are no set cleaning or prep fees. The RV must be returned in the same condition as it left.

    • If the RV is returned in an excessively dirty condition, Camp South RV reserves the right to apply cleaning fees ranging from $75 – $150.

  • Black and gray water tanks must be returned empty.

    • A $75 dumping fee will be applied only if the gray and black water tanks return full.

Mileage

Motorhomes

  • Camp South RV includes 100 miles of travel per day.

    • Any mileage in excess of 100 miles per day will be billed at .40 per mile.

Travel Trailers / Adventure Trailers

  • Receive unlimited mileage with each rental.

Pick Up/Drop Off

  • Camp South RV is open Monday through Saturday (closed Sunday). Viewings are by appointment only.

  • RVs can be picked up and dropped off during normal business hours (beginning at 9am CST).

  • Rentals must be returned by 11AM the morning following your reservation to avoid an additional charge.

    • Guests may choose to pre-pay a late drop fee of $50 and return by 4pm the day following their reservation. Any return after 4pm will result in an additional daily charge at the full rental rate.

      • For Example: A Friday through Sunday rental. Pick up Friday between 9AM - 6PM. Drop off Monday by 11AM for no additional charge.

      • Arrange all pick up and drop offs by appointment only.

Fuel

Motorhomes

  • All motorhomes will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and must be returned with a full tank of fuel.

    • If returned with less than a full tank, a $50 fee plus the cost to refuel at market price will be deducted from the security deposit.

  • Camp South RV include five hours of generator use per day, and bills $4 per hour in excess of that amount.

  • All motorhomes will be provided with a full propane tank, and must be returned with a full propane tank.

    • If returned with less than a full tank, a $50 fee plus the cost to refuel at market price will be deducted from the security deposit.

Travel Trailers / Adventure Trailers

  • All trailers will be provided with full propane tanks, and must be returned with full propane tanks.

    • If returned with less than a full tank, a $50 fee plus the cost to refuel at market price will be deducted from the security deposit.

Smoking Policy

  • No Smoking.

    • If smoking occurs within the RV, the full $1,500.00 security deposit will be forfeited.

Towing

Motorhomes

  • Any form of towing behind the motorhome is strictly prohibited.

Travel Trailers / Adventure Trailers

  • Any form of towing behind the trailer is strictly prohibited.

Towing Equipment

Trailer Brake Controller

  • The renter must provide proof of a functioning trailer brake controller installed within their vehicle prior to departure. If a trailer brake controller is needed, one will be provided at no additional charge.

Weight Distribution Hitch

  • A weight distribution hitch will be provided to the renter at no additional charge.

Pets

  • Pets are approved on a case by case basis.
